Bands Quit Abusing Your Fans!
This goes out to every band/artist out there….quit begging, asking and pleading with your fans to do shit for you 24 hours a day. You inundate them with contest requests, video play increases, ‘Like” us requests and everything else under the sun. Why don’t you start doing something for the fans??? Why don’t you show them that you value and appreciate them…instead of trying to suck what little life and interest they still have in you. For you, 2012 needs to be spent on building solid relationships with your fans, writing great music and being a decent human being instead of a succubus.

A band that asks for “likes” just proves to the masses that they’re struggling. If the band’s good enough, the likes will come automatically. Like what you said in another post Rob….”the universe will find you”. Well said.
I suggested that 1 member of a band I mentor be “asked” to leave because he continually was on the band’s Facebook with “like our page” and “win tickets if you like our page”. This was sending the wrong message out about the band. He has not been missed.
My advice? The band works for the fans, not the other way round.

What should we do as a alternate solution? If we don’t tell them to look at our videos then who will look at them? I mean who will promote you if you don’t do it?
