Gaby Moreno was born and raised in Guatemala City. From an early age she became interested in music and at the age of 13 she learned how to play guitar. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles to study at Musician´s Institute. In 2007, she won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Song of the Year award and in doing so became the first recipient in the Latin category to win the contest. In 2010 she was nominated for an Emmy Award for composing the theme song for the hit NBC show “Parks and Recreation”.
Gaby Moreno has toured thru numerous European countries and many cities in here in the state. Gaby delivers her music in both English and Spanish, leaving critics mesmerized with “A natural source in a voice that blends sweet and yet powerful, with melodies that caress the soul”.
